JBoss at work - the book.
Today let us talk about a book - JBoss at work, published by O’ Reilly.
Since my home internet connection is still not fixed, ..how efficient is Telekom Malaysia. Late payment of few days…you get the “red” warning letter, but if they are late in fixing problem…what can the user do. I’ve been complaining through the phone and also directly at their customer service center. The phone support has some idea of what is happening…but the service center people are clueless..
After struggling with JBoss AS and Portal try to learn them through what are available online, at last the library people send me a book that I’ve requested.
So far I have only completed the first chapter of the book, but based on what I’ve read this book is good. The authors keep the content focus, short and simple - they mainly focus on web application development for JBoss application server.
They does not emphasis on any framework or specific technology other than the application server and basic Java technology - servlet, JSP and beans. Their focus is on the use of MVC for the development but using their own basic simple framework that they develop through the book in steps.
So if you are looking at how certain framework such as Struts/2, Seam, Swing, Tapestry etc. work on JBoss…then this book is not for you.
I will write more as I go through more of the book contents.
