Sorry no update today.

I was behind with WordPress installation and my web hosting just send me a reminder about the new version of WP - 2.2.1 . So I decided to upgrade my WP. This is the first time I do it. So you should understand why I was a little bit nervous with this.

First I did a database backup using the WP backup plugin.

Then I did manual backup - I transferred the current WP installed directory to my local PC…yes across the internet with FTP (I use FileZilla). This the one that take quite some time.

Then I initiated the upgrade through the Fantastico application in my CPanel. Amazingly the whole process went through without a hick up. And the upgrading process even back up the old WP installation to another directory….I should know. But it is OK, better be careful than sorry.

So now I am a proud owner of a blog that is run by the latest WordPress version…for now.

After the installation , I downloaded some new plugin/widget and install it and play around with it (it is the optimal_title plugin). Without realizing it is already almost 2 in the morning….and I have to go to work just in couple of hours.

So no new material on personal development today…just wait for tomorrow.
