Subconscious mind vs. conscious mind
This is it..if you want to be very-very good in something you must make it operating from your subconscious mind.
For example the comparison between speedreading and PhotoReading - speed reading is basically tries to improve the efficiency of our conscious reading habit with the goal to make you read faster. PhotoRead on the other hand works on using the subconscious mind to capture the material, and figure out how to recall the information later.
The results is - with speed reading people can read up to 3000 or maybe 5000 words per minute (wpm), with PhotoReading on average people can do amazingly 25,000 wpm - this is 10 times more than speed reading. If we take into consideration of the best in PhotoReading, where people able to capture up to 1 millions wpm - then it sounds like a science fiction to most people. But this is the power of our subconscious mind.
I have read about a story about a kid (maybe 8 to 12 years old) in a village in Europe the read the all the books in a book store. Then some one discover this and brought the kid to a town that have a pretty big library - with few hundred thousands of book. This person left the kid in the library - and when he came back he found the kid was lying on the floor unconscious. When the kid woke up, he found out that the kid was overloaded - he finished reading the all the books in the library - few hundred thousands of them. And the kid can recall the contents from any of the book …
When I heard this story, I thought it was a hype. But after some understanding of the power of our brain and how some people can tap into their subsonscious mind very well that they can perform amazing feats that most of us thought impossible.
Its now entering the month of November. Before its too late for your new year resolution you should read this article (from yours truly) on how our subsconcious mind affect goal setting process.
